Job Description

Operating in over 70 countries and employing around 61,000 people. We are currently seeking a Tax Manager specializing in Accounting for Income Tax to join our dynamic team in New Haven, CT. This role is integral to navigating complex tax accounting, planning, compliance, and strategic execution during mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
Responsibilities
Assist with the calculation of the tax provision, effective tax rate, taxable income, and deferred tax computations.
Review the tax basis balance sheets to calculate purchase accounting adjustments for a company with significant M&A activity.
Manage requests for information between the company, external auditors, and external advisors.
Model the impact of M&A transactions as it relates to the tax provision, tax compliance, treasury goals, and legislative changes.
Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations, assess their impact on the company, and provide strategic recommendations accordingly.
Essential Skills
Expertise in federal and state income tax.
Experience in public accounting or a public/private mix.
Strong technical tax expertise, particularly with tax provision work.
CPA preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
7 years of Corporate Tax Experience, ideally with experience from a Big 4 or large regional tax firm, or another large corporation.
Experience with mergers and acquisitions.
Proficiency with tax software.
Organized, detail-oriented, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to effectively organize, prioritize, and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
