Job Description:
ICF is rapidly expanding its consulting business in India, and we are looking to hire a seasoned, operations leader to help manage this rapid business growth. As the head of operations for the India business, you will support the business leaders in energy, climate, urban and transport (Business Sectors) in establishing robust processes to enable the smooth running and reporting of business. You will carry out operations analyses including analysis of competitors, operational effectiveness, and capacity utilization and make recommendations for improvement. You will support business teams with knowledge management and risk management, set up and oversee project trackers to assess project risks and support India VP in taking timely action.

Key Responsibilities:
Business monitoring: Work with business directors to monitor ongoing operations across all business verticals in India for identifying any concerns, risks, challenges in operations.
Risk management: develop tools, processes and methods to assess risks to projects relating to quality, timeliness, invoicing, payments, reputation or other risks. Establish processes and best practices to monitor, reduce and manage these risks.
Knowledge management: help develop a knowledge bank /repository of key learnings from projects that can be re-used. Work with Business Sector directors to identify any IP created in projects that can be leveraged by other sectors/ teams (models, frameworks etc.)
Knowledge exchange: set up platform and processes for knowledge exchange/ knowledge sharing across business sectors. Organise regular KM/ brownbag sessions, covering different themes and sectors relevant to our business
Staff productivity: track staff productivity across teams and develop processes to enable cross-team working and cross-group collaboration to improve staff productivity and improve business profitability
Team culture: Support staff engagement efforts to bring the team together and build a strong culture. Curate and deliver strategy and team events through the year to foster collaboration and team building.
Streamline operations : Support business directors in collaborating with CBS functions (contracts, procurement, facilities, travel, BD, marketing), streamline process flows and monitor and support two-way collaboration. Act as a bridge between business and support functions.
Process improvement: Map existing processes in India (BD, project delivery and others) and work with Directors to make these more efficient with use of data analytics and emerging AI tools.
Track, maintain and provide current information on the operation's business scorecard
Basic Qualifications:
Master’s degree or equivalent in operations management.
15 years’ experience in a similar role is required.
High proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
Professional Skills:
The role requires a solid understanding of consulting business operations and strong analytical skills. The candidate must have previous similar experience of managing operations in a consultancy/ professional services firm.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritize work.
