Job Overview:The Point of Care Supervisor maintains Quality Standards for Point of Care testing in accordance with state, federal CLIA 88, JCAHO and CAP requirements throughout the New Brunswick Campus.
Qualifications:
Required:
Education: BA/BS Degree in Medical Technology and /or related science.
Experience: 2 to 3 years clinical laboratory and Blood Bank experience.
Preferred:
- National certification preferable.

Essential Functions:
Serves as technical consultant to help troubleshoot POC testing and computer issues,
Assist staff in POC testing and assures staff maintain annual competency,
Performs spot checks to ensure sites are meeting POC regulatory requirements such as dating reagents and discarding expired testing supplies,
Manages supply chain for POC testing supplies in POC software,
Maintains POC testing equipment and instruments Maintains organized records of training, competency, and technical issues,
Remains up to date on POC regulations, manufacturer s instructions, and best practices,
Builds and maintains positive relationships with patient care team and staff,
Supports and or leads improvement projects to optimize quality and efficiency,
May include other duties as assigned,
