JOB FUNCTION

:

To analyze, format, and communicate information on new and existing loans to identify credit risks. Will mentor, train and supervise junior team members and provide underwriting support to the commercial lending department.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

:

• Directly supervise a team of credit analysts.
• Independently lead and direct the work of analysts to include setting priorities, providing formal credit training, reviewing work, and delivering ongoing, daily feedback.
• Independently set and track team and individual goals.
• Responsible for recruiting and retaining talent to include independently conducting interviews, making hiring decisions, developing training programs, career development and ongoing performance reviews.
• Prepare commercial credit approval packages without supervision to include debt and deposit recaps, financial spreadsheets, cash flow analysis, and written memorandums.
• Independently complete complex, global cash flows, industry research, stress testing, NOI analysis of commercial real estate projects, and risk grading of loan relationships.
• Analyze personal and business financial information as well as entity ownership structures to understand creditworthiness of proposed loans.
• Perform credit relationship annual reviews and loan covenant testing on existing credits without supervision.
• Assist loan officers in structuring deals.
• Attend regular meetings with customers, loan officers and/or senior management.
• Perform a variety of tasks while using an expected wide degree of creativity and latitude.
• Be familiar with a variety of banking regulations, products, concepts, practices, and procedures, and ensure that all departmental activities follow applicable laws and regulations and internal policies and procedures.

• Seven years experience in commercial underwriting utilizing practices common in this field, including spreading of various types of financial statements and an understanding of global cash flow analysis.
