Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on various types of machinery including injection molding machines, automated and manned paint booths, robots, extruder systems, and diecasting assembly machines. This role also involves conducting and documenting water and air quality tests, using precision testing and measuring equipment, and handling and storing chemicals and industrial lubricants. The position requires working from Sunday to Thursday, 11pm-7:30am.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on injection molding machines, automated and manned paint booths, robots, extruder systems, diecasting assembly machines, and associated support equipment.

  • Conduct and document water and air quality tests.

  • Use precision testing and measuring equipment.

  • Handle and store chemicals and industrial lubricants.

  • Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical systems.

  • Troubleshoot and repair complex electronic systems at a component level.

  • Troubleshoot and repair complex hydraulic systems at a component level.

  • Troubleshoot and repair complex pneumatic systems at a component level.

  • Troubleshoot the control, injection, chilled water, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems of polyurethane molding at a component level.

  • Troubleshoot the control, injection, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems of various injection machines at a component level, including manufacturers such as Rauch, Buhler, UBE, and Rimrock robots.

  • Access and manipulate various PLC programs from manufacturers such as Nitoman, Panasonic, and Omron.

Essential Skills

  • 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience

  • 2+ years of electrical troubleshooting experience

  • 1+ year of PLC control and troubleshooting experience

  • Knowledgeable in the use of the NEC code book, OSHA safety manual, and general shop and electrical safety practices

  • Proficient in the inspection, removal, installation, alignment, and lubrication of bearings, gears, belts, and chains

  • Fluent in electronic schematics and terminology

  • Knowledgeable in AC and DC theory, various PLC programming, and DC drives

  • Temperature controller and thermocouple knowledge

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with PLC programming including Omron, Siemens, Toshiba, Mitsubishi, Texas Instruments, and Keba

  • Troubleshooting and programming knowledge of DC drives such as Reliance SC 500, Danfoss, Woods, and Omron

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex systems from a variety of injection machine manufacturers

Work Environment

This role involves working in two buildings located within a five-minute drive of each other. The maintenance team is currently short-staffed, so you may need to travel between facilities as needed, with mileage reimbursed if using your own car. The work environment is clean and automotive-focused, though it can be hot during the summer months.

This is a Permanent position based out of New Albany, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $56160.00 - $64480.00/yr.
