CLASSIFICATION: Operational Support Staff - Level 2

PAY GRADE 7: $15.75-$16.35(based upon education/experience)

LENGTH: 7.5hours daily / 197 days yearly

REPORTS TO: Building Principal

*2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR*

Benefits eligible: This position is eligible for employee level medical coverage, dental, and vision. It is also eligible for sick and personal days.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma
  • Three years job experience or graduation from a recognized school of secretarial or bookkeeping skills and two years job experience; or two years successful employment within this district or in another district of comparable size.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Types and handles various types of correspondence and paperwork including letters, memoranda, invoices, purchase orders, reports, etc. Must be computer literate.
  • Meets and interacts daily with staff, students, parents and general public on school related/student matters.
  • Responds to staff and parent requests via e-mail, voice mail, and phone calls. Routes calls and/or conveys messages as needed.
  • Organizes and maintains office filing systems, files correspondence and other records.
  • Coordinates and arranges meetings, distributes agendas, reserves and prepares facilities, and records minutes of meetings.
  • Manages principals communications and correspondence including the weekly newsletter, staff notes, and electronic bulletin board.
  • Requests substitute teachers, completes attendance reports, and processes time cards.
  • Maintains calendar of school events and manages building usage schedules.
  • Administers first aid and assists students in the health clinic under the direction of the school nurse and follows related policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned byPrincipal and/or other designee.
  • The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the corporation.
