Colville Confederated Tribes Certified Nursing Assistant in Nespelem, Washington
*CLOSING DATE: *Open Continuously with weekly reviews
*POSITION: *Certified Nursing Assistant I and Certified Nursing Assistant II
*SALARY: *$21.77 - $23.33 per hour DOE
REPORTS TO: Director of Nursing
*LOCATION: *Nespelem, Washington
*BASIC FUNCTIONS: This is a Non-Exepmt position. *Provides each resident with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident's assessment, care plan and as directed by the DNS or Charge Nurse.
Education and Training:
- Requires a High School diploma OR GED AND six (6) to twelve (12) months of experience.
- Requires a Current certificate as a Nursing Assistant Certified.
- Requires a Current 1^st^ Aid/CPR certification and be able to perform CPR.
- Requires a TB Test as a condition of employment with a negative result or obtain test within 15 days of employment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Requires basic knowledge of a long-term care setting.
- Requires knowledge of how to identify resident abuse and neglect, and to report any resident abuse and /or neglect to the Abuse hotline as is mandated.
- Requires knowledge of resident's rights.
- Requires the ability to read, write, and understand the English language.
- Requires the ability to relate clear and concise information concerning a resident's condition.
- Requires the ability to perform assigned duties independently and with supervision.
- Requires the ability to push, pull move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds to a minimum height of 3 feet and be able to push, pull move and /or carry said weight a minimum of 50 feet.
Requires the ability to work well as a member of the health care team.
Note: Pursuant to Tribal Policy, if this position is safety sensitive it is subject to pre-employment drug testing. In addition, this position is subject to reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug testing.
TRIBAL MEMBER AND INDIAN PREFERENCE WILL APPLY; PREFERENCE WILL ALSO BE GIVEN TO HONORABLY DISCHARGED VETERANS WHO ARE MINIMALLY QUALIFIED.
If required of this position, you must possess and maintain a valid Washington State driver's license and be eligible for the Tribes' Vehicle Insurance. In addition, this position may be subject to pre-employment background clearances. If applicable, these clearances must be maintained throughout employment.
