Air Combat Command Recreation Aid in Nellis AFB, Nevada

Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the Outdoor Recreation on Nellis AFB, NV. Flexible employees have no guaranteed hours, but may work up to 40 hours per week. This position does not offer benefits. Must be able to lift and handle 50 pounds consistently due to moving and lifting equipment. Must be able to work in variable indoor/outdoor temperatures depending on the time of year. Responsibilities Assists in the rental service with a variety of equipment serving the different needs and interest of the Nellis and Creech Community, and to give assistance and technical guidance to the customer in the use and operation of rental equipment. Assists in ODR trip sign-ups and passing on knowledge of our surrounding area. Assists in RV storage and Equestrian Center stall assignments. Performs over-the-counter services of rental equipment; collects rental fees, rings all fees in RecTrac POS and makes change. Assists in the training of new recreation aids on the proper cash handling procedures, anti-robbery for rental equipment; maintains contracts/receipts in suspense until equipment is returned. Checks equipment before rental and upon return for discrepancies, i.e., torn or frayed material, defective parts, etc., makes necessary adjustments for replacing minor parts when necessary and reports all major repairs needed to supervisor/maintenance team. Will accomplish completed walk around checklists for all large rental items such as boats, travel trailers, etc., before and after rental. Maintains the rental area in a neat and orderly manner, keeping display items clean and dusted, and attractively arranged. Cash handling experience desirable. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
