Air Combat Command Maintenance Worker in Nellis AFB, Nevada

Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the Nellis Inn on Nellis AFB, NV. Regular Part Time employees are guaranteed 20 hours but may work up to 34 hours per week. This position does offer benefits. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Must upload High School Diploma or equivalent and Driver's License. Responsibilities Performs general maintenance and repair. Performs carpentry work by measuring, cutting, constructing or repairing furniture items. Use of power tools including bench saws, table saws, drills, skill saws, sanders and other hand tools. Prepares surfaces and paints by filling nail or screw holes, dry wall patching, applies paint using rollers, brushes, and spray coating materials. Performs plumbing tasks. Performs small appliances, appliances and tool repair. Reports major problems to Maintenance Supervisor and safety precautions are outlined. Maintains strict inventory control. Accomplishes preventative maintenance and service on vehicles. Must be skilled in the use of common hand tools, power equipment and in measuring and aligning items to be installed. Skilled in application of fertilizers, sprays, and similar chemicals. Must be able to operate lawn equipment (push/riding mowers, trimmers, etc.). Trade/vocational school certification and/or training is desirable. Basic clerical experience is desirable. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
