Summary:

HII Mission Technologies is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support the 26th Weapons Squadron (WPS) at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining cybersecurity policies and systems to ensure compliance with Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements.

What You Will Do:

  • Draft, review, and update Risk Management Framework (RMF) artifacts required to obtain an Authority to Operate (ATO) for emerging systems.

  • Develop and maintain System Control Traceability Matrices (SCTM) and System Security Plans (SSP) while managing security control changes.

  • Write and update cybersecurity documentation, including:

  • System Security Plans (SSP)

  • Plan of Actions & Milestones (POA&M)

  • Continuous Monitoring Plans

  • Risk Assessments

  • Privacy Impact Analyses (PIA)

  • Lead Security Assessment & Authorization (A&A) processes and procedures to ensure compliance with RMF standards.

  • Report all cybersecurity incidents through briefings and reports to the program’s Information Systems Security Managers (ISSM).

  • Implement and enforce information security policies, standards, and methodologies.

  • Evaluate and recommend security solutions, ensuring systems meet compliance standards for processing classified information.

  • Maintain system records for workstations, servers, routers, firewalls, network switches, and other IT infrastructure, including system upgrades.

  • Provide security assessments for compliance with NIST SP 800-53 and RMF regulations.

What We're Looking For:

  • 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.

  • Active Top Secret DoD Clearance Required; must be eligible for Special Program Access

  • Strong knowledge of:

  • Risk Management Framework (RMF)

  • Joint Special Access Program Implementation Guide (JSIG)

  • RMF Bodies of Evidence

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, collaboration abilities, and experience presenting cybersecurity issues to stakeholders.

  • Strong work ethic, a demonstrated self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.

Preferred Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or Information Technology.

  • Five (5) years of experience in any combination of the following:

  • Cybersecurity & Information Assurance

  • Network Security Architecture

  • System Hardening & Compliance Auditing

  • Systems Security Engineering

  • Experience ensuring cybersecurity compliance with NISPOM, DAAPM, JSIG, ICD 503, STIGs, and NIST guidelines.

  • This position offers an opportunity to lead cybersecurity initiatives, ensuring compliance with DoD security protocols and supporting the 26th WPS mission at Nellis Air Force Base.
