JOB REQUIREMENTS: Technical Leader - Machine Automation - 876954 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Technical Leader - Machine Automation This position provides strategic leadership for automation projects which will impact various locations in the North America Supply Chain. You will partner with the other team members within staff and the mills, along with working closely with our vendors and suppliers. This role will help define the on-machine automation strategy and lead the implementation of Automation solutions for our key supply chain opportunity areas in distribution, manufacturing, and in-process and on-machine solutions. In this role, you will: * Carry out all job responsibilities in a safe manner; set the example for others in the area of safety. Develop equipment and processes that meet safety codes, policies and guidelines. Provide for the safety and well-being of operators, reliability, and other personnel. * Support the development of the NA SC automation strategy. * Support Appropriation definition and execution for Automation implementation across the North American Supply Chain. * Develop knowledge of Automation systems to support implementation and act as a SME for new systems. You will be accountable to share and expand that knowledge throughout the enterprise. * Collaborate with Mill, Staff, Vendors, Contractors, and other KCNA/Global facilities in developing and rolling out Automation solutions for on-machine production and material delivery challenges across the supply chain. * Lead design discussions with Mill and Central teams to review Scope, obtain alignment and feedback Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Logistics, EHS, IT * Convert automation innovations into tangible business outcomes and cost savings to acquire support for implementation. Salary Range: \$128,000 \$158,000 USD Veterans and members of the Reserve and Guard are highly encouraged to apply. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications: * Position requires a bachelor\'s in engineering and 10+ years of equivalent related experien e * Expertise in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering or Mechatronics with a demonstrated ability to translate that knowledge into execution of process and capacity improvements in capital or expense projects. * Incumbent should have a demonstrated history of proven performance in delivery of objectives and Ways of Working * Incumbent should be able to work collaboratively and effectively with individuals across all levels of the organization * Incumbent should have the ability and flexibility to work in a manufacturing environment with a 24/7 operation * Incumbent should be flexible to travel up to 25% as dictated by business need for meetings, machine install or start-up support, benchmarking, or best practice sharing across North America.
