Position Summary/Description:
The Business Systems Analyst supports the School of Medicine’s Finance and Business Operations office by providing essential system development, financial analysis and reporting services. This role involves systems design, development, and integration, as well as project management for business process improvements. The analyst acts as a key resource for leadership consultation, ensuring data-driven decisions and efficient system implementation. This position requires collaborative communication and an ability to function independently with technical proficiency.
Education and Experience:
Familiarity with UNC financial systems and high-level technical knowledge preferred. Experience with technologies such as SQL , Python, HTML , CSS is preferred.
Broad knowledge of software development techniques and direct experience in developing web applications is preferred.
Essential Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, analytic platforms, and web application development.
Strong organizational skills to manage tasks and projects efficiently.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication abilities for both internal collaboration and external advisories.
