United States Fleet Forces Command PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (SHIPS) in Naval Shipyard, Virginia

Summary You will serve as a Production Controller (Ships) in the Submarine Business Operations Branch (1211), Waterfront Business Operations Division (1210), Business and Strategic Planning Office (1200) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will assemble necessary documents, supporting information and material and work authorization for dissemination. You will oversee processes, transfer of materials, and maintain tracking and accountability of task implementation. You will develop task packages for completing ship repair tasks within budget for production personnel. You will resolve conflicts with schedule, material and working documents. You will certify the accuracy of completed work according to ship work packaging and control processing standards. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: Experience planning, estimating and scheduling ship repair; Experience involving the skills, processes and procedures required within ship repair and maintenance; Experience with organization structure of DON, the naval shipyard and NAVSEA; Experience with resource management and budgeting project tasks.
