MathWorks Software Engineer in Natick, Massachusetts
Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead, will be responsible for designing, developing and testing sophisticated software used by customers in the control systems domain including the mechanical, automotive and robotics engineering industries; developing state-of-the-art algorithms in MATLAB and Simulink to support automated driving computer vision technology; developing and delivering algorithms, user interfaces and demos in support of automated driving workflows; developing key workflows for virtual reality simulations; performing sensor data labeling to enable algorithm verification and training of deep learning systems; assessing literature, writing functional specifications and leading design reviews; and implementing and testing algorithms using MATLAB and C++ on Windows, Linux and Macintosh platforms.
Education and Experience:
Master’s degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent) in Engineering, Robotics or Computer Science and no experience.
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Engineering, Robotics or Computer Science and five (5) years of experience in job offered or five (5) years of experience in development or technical support of autonomous driving and computer vision applications and systems.
Special Requirements :
Demonstrated expertise programming in C++ and MATLAB within a Windows, Linux and Macintosh environment according to design patterns.
Demonstrated expertise prototyping and developing computer vision, 3D vision, and image registration algorithms using MATLAB; and designing and implementing localization, navigation and mapping algorithms for autonomous systems.
Demonstrated expertise applying deep learning algorithms to design and develop computer vision and image processing applications using deep learning frameworks -- TensorFlow or PyTorch.
Demonstrated expertise simulating autonomous driving and computer vision systems using Simulink; and developing computer vision applications to support code generation.
