In this role, you have the opportunity to:
The Global Logistics function is responsible and accountable for all physical distribution activities within the Service Parts Supply Chain:
Global forward and returns warehousing and inventory accuracy management
Transportation order fulfillment from warehouse to customer
Transportation inventory fulfillment from vendor to warehouse and in-network replenishment
Network design and optimization
Services & Solutions Delivery logistic cost management and reduction
Management of Third party logistic providers (3PLs) operating our transportation, warehousing and transactional activities (Business Process Outsourcing)
You are responsible for (but not limited to):
As a Senior Supply Chain Improvement Manager you are part of the Global Logistics team and with your knowledge of the logistic provider industry and network simulations, you typically work on:
Leading implementation of large-scale, cross-functional breakthrough, projects and initiatives, which focus on logistic cost reduction and/or service improvement towards our customers.
Developing useful (data) insight for the organization and do recommendation for further business improvement.
Leading improvement Initiatives on Logistic (transport) cost analysis and reporting.
Identify and evaluate Logistic network optimizations and recommend improvements
Represent the Global Logistics function in the broader supply chain community of Philips
You are part of: Service Parts Supply Chain (SPS), part of Services & Solutions Delivery within Philips, is responsible for the total service parts supply chain from the factory/suppliers to the markets. The strategy is to maximize the service part availability, minimize the total cost of operation and minimize the inventory level. To realize this strategy SPS operates a global service parts network.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
Master in Supply Chain Management preferred; Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum of 7 years of related experience
Experience in Logistic Service Parts Operations and knowledge about how Logistics Providers operate in Service Parts Supply Chains.
Preferably have worked at third party logistic provider with a focus on transportation management and/or customer solution designs for end-to-end supply chains
Industry knowledge on transport solutions like airfreight, parcel, ocean and contract logistics
Demonstrated knowledge of conducting comprehensive logistic network analysis and simulations with support of software like i.e. Llamasoft
Planning, organizational and project management skills with experience in delivering on strategic organizational objectives within the agreed timeframes;
Change management and transformation skills and experience driving and leading cross-cultural & cross-functional change programs. Must have the ability to break down existing barriers
Strategic Thinker, Data Analytics, Problem Solving Techniques
Excellent communication skills to peer groups and higher management levels
