Insight Global Senior Cybersecurity Engineer in Nashville, Tennessee

Job Description

An employer is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join a Technology Services company and work on a project for one of their large public safety clients in Nashville. This Engineer will support the client's migration from CrowdStrike to Defender. This individual will work on a hybrid model, with 2-3 days in the office per week in Nashville, TN. Responsibilities include:

- Determine security requirements by evaluating business strategies and needs.

- Research information security standards, conduct in depth system security reviews, vulnerability analyses and risk assessments.

- Study security architecture/platform to identify integration issues or opportunities and prepares cost estimates.

- Mentor and train cybersecurity team on security tools and security best practices.

- Responsible for administration, data ingestion, parsing, dashboard design, and custom searches of company SIEM.

- Conduct periodic independent security audits including NIST, HIPAA and SOX audits and all internal controls compliance programs.

- Generate reports as needed from the various security systems to support regulatory compliance.

- Investigate known or suspected security incidents and perform thorough threat hunting and remediation using cybersecurity tools.

- Responsible for firewall and URL filtering configuration, maintenance, monitoring, and various other security measures.

- Responsible for Identity and Access Management.

- Responsible for Endpoint Detection and Response administration.

- Responsible for security setup, maintenance, and monitoring in Azure/M365 cloud environment.

- Evaluate and recommend security products for various platforms to support the company.

- Conduct training sessions with various audiences, provide support, and educate users on security policies and consult on security initiatives and issues.

- Research emerging technologies and maintain awareness of current security risks in support of security enhancement and development efforts.

- Participate in educational opportunities, professional networks, and professional organizations.

Skills and Requirements

- 5+ years of Cybersecurity engineering experience

- Experience administering Azure AD, Microsoft Defender, and Microsoft Sentinel

- Ability to obtain CISSP within 12 months of starting role - Experience with PAM (Privileged Acccess Management), CyberArk, Splunk, CrowdStrike and Zero Trust framework null
