About This Role:

Plan, initiate, and guide information technology (IT) projects. Lead and guide the work of technical staff. Serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects. Plan project stages and assess business implications for each stage. Monitor progress to assure deadlines and standards are met. Oversee the application delivery process, providing guidance as necessary. Manage an Agile scrum team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage, lead and execute projects through the complete project management lifecycle in an Agile/Scrum method or traditional SDLC method.

  • Drive adoption of agile software development methodologies (Scrum and Kanban practices) across IT teams.

  • Assist with time and resource management throughout the development and management of full project plans for project work specific to OSS Engineering teams.

  • Work closely with development teams and subject matter experts to plan, perform, and maintain project tasks and milestones.

  • Lead scrum ceremonies for scrum teams, work with product owners to groom the backlog and plan sprints, and use agile boards/dashboards to assist with managing progress of the project team.

  • Track project deadlines to milestones or release plan and make sure that they are met.

  • Anticipate and mitigate project risks and impediments.

  • Ensure accurate and complete project documents/artifacts are maintained for each project and appropriate documents are distributed in a timely manner.

  • Work with business partners on project management activities such as project initiation, requirements and status reporting.

  • Develop presentations for project updates, proposals and governance approvals.

Do You Have:

  • Experience leading teams of people directly and indirectly to accomplish goals.

  • Documented experience in managing small to large, multi-component, projects.

  • Knowledge and experience in sizing and scoping integration efforts based on preliminary data.

  • Proven experience successfully leading projects in an agile scrum format and a traditional software development lifecycle format.

  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational skills, planning skills, and technical depth.

  • Customer service orientation with a strong problem-solving approach.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to manage and process multiple data streams.

  • Ability to prioritize and escalate where appropriate.

  • Proven ability to work in a fast paced, self-directed environment

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Quality orientation with a strong eye for detail.

  • Proficient in MS Project, JIRA or another project management tool, SharePoint, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Desired Requirements:

  • Agile / Scrum Master Certification

  • Demonstrated success in leading scrum projects as a scrum master.

  • Demonstrated success in leading traditional SDLC projects as a project manager.

The starting compensation range for this job is $76,300 to $104,200.
