Job Title: Pharmacy TechnicianJob Description

The Pharmacy Technician assists with drug preparation and dispensing under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist and in accordance with state pharmacy regulations. Responsibilities include filling prescription items as permitted by the State Board of Pharmacy, packaging medications for dispensing and delivery, labeling products appropriately, participating in the periodic inventory of drugs and supplies, preparing medications including emulsions, liquids, powders, and ointments, processing returned medications for credit or destruction, assisting in the training of new employees, and servicing facility-based medication dispensing machines.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 3 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Nashville, Tennessee.

Work Environment

This is a closed-door pharmacy focused on fulfilling the pharmaceutical needs of our long-term care and senior living clients. This is a NON-RETAIL environment, resembling more of a production/fulfillment/warehouse setting. Shifts are typically from 3 PM to 11 PM, Monday through Friday.
