Jacobs Operational Readiness, Activation & Transition (ORAT) Specialist in Nashville, Tennessee

We are seeking a highly motivated ORAT Specialist with strong communication, organizational, and administrative support skills to join our growing ORAT team. This role is ideal for early-career professionals who bring expertise in documentation, presentations, stakeholder engagement, and scheduling—and who are eager to learn the intricacies of Operational Readiness, Activation & Transition (ORAT) within complex infrastructure environments such as aviation and transit projects.

As part of a dynamic team, the ORAT Specialist will support the ORAT Lead on planning, coordination, and execution of activities that ensure operational readiness and seamless transition of new facilities into live environments.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the planning and execution of ORAT programs across Aviation, Transit, and Facility Development projects.

  • Assist with the development and tracking of stakeholder engagement, operational interface, and training plans.

  • Develop and maintain professional-grade presentations, reports, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Contribute to the preparation and monitoring of ORAT schedules by collecting and organizing operational inputs.

  • Maintain and update project tracking documents (issue logs, risk registers, task trackers, etc.).

  • Coordinate stakeholder meetings, site tours, and working sessions, including logistics and follow-up documentation.

  • Support the development and management of collaborative platforms such as SharePoint.

  • Prepare high-quality communications materials, including stakeholder agendas, updates and meeting minutes readiness campaigns.

  • Attend project meetings and provide summaries, notes, and action item tracking.

  • Assist in the coordination of familiarization, training, and transition activities.

  • Support project closeout activities and the transition of completed projects into live operational status.

Preferred location for this position is in Denver, CO.

The salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Communications, Planning, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 2-3 years of professional experience in project coordination, stakeholder engagement, marketing communications, or related roles.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook), SharePoint, and other collaboration tools.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to synthesize technical information into clear presentations and documents.

  • Experience supporting logistics and execution of stakeholder events, meetings, and training sessions.

  • Travel will be required. Candidate must be willing to travel anywhere within U.S.

Ideally, you'll also have:

  • Exposure to ORAT, aviation, transit, or facility startup projects.

  • Familiarity with project scheduling tools (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Power BI).
