Job Description

The Senior Medication Therapy Management (MTM) Service Specialist will act as a Subject Matter Expert for MTM programs. The position is responsible for receiving inbound and making outbound calls to qualified members to review the benefits of the MTM programs in addition to assisting the leaders with Quality Assurance, training and daily tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Receive inbound and make outbound calls to eligible beneficiaries to schedule MTM clinician interventions in a manner that meets the specialized needs of the targeted population; for Medicare, is Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) compliant

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for MTM programs; answer questions and provide guidance to MTM Specialists; assist with phone line changes as requested by MTM Specialists and Pharmacists

  • Facilitate training for new hire classes, including call shadowing; complete Quality Assurance on recorded calls and provide constructive feedback to MTM Specialists to improve quality of future calls

  • Document and research returned member materials (i.e., Comprehensive Medication Review Summary Letters, Welcome Letters, etc.); perform outreach calls to pharmacies and prescriber offices related to the department process across multiple clients to obtain all necessary information related to returned mail research, including occasional member assistance

  • Utilize Prime’s MTM process management system to record member specific information

  • Assess beneficiary information to ensure appropriate interaction is scheduled with appropriate MTM clinician (i.e., Pharmacist)

  • Address and triage queries regarding MTM related topics by transferring calls to MTM staff or other Prime Therapeutics department help lines

  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Education & Experience

  • High School diploma from an accredited school or equivalent GED

  • 2 years of work experience as MTM Specialist

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Additional Qualifications

  • Has suitable home office (i.e., chair, desk, internet, etc.) that meet Prime required standards (if work from home position)

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with focus on professional demeanor and empathy

  • Strong verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills

  • Strong organization skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines

  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and system operations (e.g. workflow processes and case management)

  • Government programs (Medicare) knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

  • Contact Center experience

  • Pharmacy and/or PBM experience

  • Experience working with highly confidential medical information

  • CPhT certification

  • Fluency in another language (Spanish)

Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit 6 or more hours per day

  • Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime

  • Ability to work a set, pre-determined break and lunch schedule

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Potential pay for this position ranges from $19.23 - $28.85 based on experience and skills.
