Entry Level Drafter
Job Description
We are seeking an Entry Level Drafter to join our team. In this role, you will use 2D Configura (similar to AutoCAD) to create drawings for custom industrial safety cages, machine guards, and partitions. You will also interface with customers to understand their requirements and ensure project specifications are met. This includes answering phone calls regarding order status and installation guidance.
Responsibilities
Create detailed 2D drawings using Configura or AutoCAD for custom industrial safety cages, machine guards, and partitions.
Communicate with customers to gather project requirements and provide updates on order status.
Assist customers with installation guidance and address any inquiries they may have.
Maintain a high level of professionalism when interfacing with customers.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in CAD and AutoCAD.
Experience in drafting, either through school or on-the-job training.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Effective customer service and interaction skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Drafting certificate or Associate's Degree in drafting.
Professionalism in representing the company during customer interactions.
Work Environment
The work environment is a small shop that designs and manufactures safety cages, machine guards, and partitions for industrial applications. The atmosphere is laid back, making it a great entry-level position to gain experience. The company offers flexible hours, especially for those still in school. Initially, you will need to work in the office five days per week. After demonstrating dependability for 2 to 3 months, remote work up to two days a week may be permitted.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
