Description

Summary: The Data Analyst is responsible for extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data from various sources, analyzing data to uncover insights, and creating visually compelling data visualizations. The individual will play a key role in supporting data-driven decision-making within the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Extraction and Transformation: Extract data from various sources (databases, files, APIs) using SQL and ETL tools.

  • Data Cleaning and Preparation: Clean and prepare data for analysis, including handling missing values, outliers, and inconsistencies.

  • Data Analysis: Analyze data using statistical techniques and data mining methods to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.

  • Data Visualization: Create interactive and visually appealing data visualizations using tools like Power BI or Tableau to communicate findings effectively.

  • Data Reporting: Develop and maintain regular data reports and dashboards to support business decision-making.

  • Data Governance: Adhere to data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality and integrity.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide insights.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)

  • Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation

  • Experience with ETL processes and tools

  • Knowledge of statistical concepts and data analysis techniques

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with data mining and machine learning techniques

  • Knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling concepts

  • Certifications such as Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate or Tableau Certified Associate
