Description
Summary: The Data Analyst is responsible for extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data from various sources, analyzing data to uncover insights, and creating visually compelling data visualizations. The individual will play a key role in supporting data-driven decision-making within the organization.
Responsibilities:
Data Extraction and Transformation: Extract data from various sources (databases, files, APIs) using SQL and ETL tools.
Data Cleaning and Preparation: Clean and prepare data for analysis, including handling missing values, outliers, and inconsistencies.
Data Analysis: Analyze data using statistical techniques and data mining methods to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
Data Visualization: Create interactive and visually appealing data visualizations using tools like Power BI or Tableau to communicate findings effectively.
Data Reporting: Develop and maintain regular data reports and dashboards to support business decision-making.
Data Governance: Adhere to data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality and integrity.
Collaboration: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide insights.
Requirements
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation
Experience with ETL processes and tools
Knowledge of statistical concepts and data analysis techniques
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with data mining and machine learning techniques
Knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling concepts
Certifications such as Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate or Tableau Certified Associate
