Job Description:

At Regions, the Credit Review Director is responsible for the implementation of the credit risk management review function, providing recommendations to the bank’s Credit Committee. This position is responsible for monitoring and managing the credit exposure within portfolios and individual transactions, continually reviewing counterparty creditworthiness and developing credit exposure methodologies in conjunction with risk analytic systems.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Investigates credit policy compliance

  • Confirms risk rating accuracy by testing the Risk Rating System

  • Assesses the effectiveness of key credit control processes

  • Reviews new credit policies and continuing policy effectiveness

  • Identifies, investigates, and reports on credit risk-related concerns

  • Monitors the resolution of credit-related issues

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

This position is incentive eligible.

This is a single incumbent position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

  • Fifteen (15) years of credit review or relevant experience

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to learn additional systems as needed

  • Ability to research, analyze data, and derive facts

  • Ability to supervise and manage a team

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

  • Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills

  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation

This position must be within a reasonable driving distance to a Branch, Consumer Operations, or Professional Office Building with the primary locations being for Birmingham, AL, Nashville, TN, Atlanta, GA, or Charlotte, NC.

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

$222,978.80 USD

Median:

$328,420.00 USD

Incentive Pay Plans:

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary incentive plan. Employees are eligible to receive a discretionary award based on individual, business, and/or company performance.Opportunity to participate in the Long Term Incentive Plan.
