Amazon Business Analyst II, Operational Excellence and Analytics in Nashville, Tennessee

Description

We're seeking an exceptional data analytics professional who can transform complex operational data into strategic business insights. As a Business Analyst, you'll partner with stakeholders across Amazon's Operations Technology Solutions org to drive data-informed decisions .

Key job responsibilities

  • Design and develop comprehensive analytics solutions using large-scale dataset

  • Create and maintain advanced dashboards and visualizations that tell compelling data stories

  • Partner with product and program to translate business requirements into analytical frameworks

  • Lead root cause analyses and identify emerging patterns that impact operational efficiency

  • Develop and automate reporting solutions that enable quick, accurate decision-making

  • Present complex findings to senior leadership in clear, actionable formats

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through data-driven recommendations

About the team

The AMER OpsTech Solutions (OTS) Operational Excellence and Analytics team enables Amazon's operational technology infrastructure through data-driven insights .. We're integral to maintaining Amazon's customer commitment through:

  • Descriptive and Predictive analytics.

  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  • Data-driven decision support for senior leadership

  • Data based insights to continuous improvement of operational processes

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • 3+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience

  • 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights

  • Experience with SQL

  • Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of data warehouse architecture and modeling principles

  • Programming skills in Python or R

  • Statistical modeling experience
