Title: IT Desktop Support Technician

Location: 26 Century Boulevard Nashville TN 37214

Duration: 12+ Months

Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Technician to configure, install, and maintain desktop software and hardware while providing technical support to end users. The ideal candidate will have a strong troubleshooting mindset and the ability to resolve software and hardware issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and update the dispatch/ticketing system, resolving assigned tickets in a timely manner.

  • Configure, install, monitor, and maintain workstation software and hardware.

  • Provide technical support and guidance to end users, ensuring minimal downtime.

  • Ensure proper backup of user data and compliance with security and licensing requirements.

  • Test, troubleshoot, maintain, and document application packages.

  • Maintain detailed documentation of configurations and issue resolutions.

  • Assist other departments with IT-related issues as needed.

  • Perform administrative tasks such as reporting, ordering replacement parts, and tracking inventory.

  • Stay updated on emerging workstation support technologies and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in IT support, desktop support, or a similar role.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency with Windows/macOS operating systems.

  • Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and remote troubleshooting tools.

  • Familiarity with IT security best practices and endpoint management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CompTIA A+, ITIL, or other relevant certifications.

  • Experience with asset management and ticketing systems like ServiceNow or Jira
