Robert Half Accounting Manager in Nashville, Tennessee

Description We are in search of an Accounting Manager to join our team based in Nashville, Tennessee. The selected candidate will be tasked with overseeing all aspects of the accounting functions, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll. This role is integral in ensuring the financial health and strategic goals of the organization are met.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

• Coordinate all activities related to month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.

• Develop, implement, and maintain robust accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance and strong internal controls.

• Provide insightful commentary to management on financial performance and key business drivers by analyzing financial reports.

• Lead a team of accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure a high-performing team.

• Collaborate with other departments, including operations and sales, to ensure accurate financial reporting and support business decisions.

• Manage and coordinate with external auditors, providing necessary documentation and explanations.

• Assist in the development and management of the organization's budget and forecasts to ensure financial stability.

• Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and regulations, implementing necessary updates to policies and procedures.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and reporting requirements.

• Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.

• Handle the reporting, maintaining, and reconciling of rebate reporting with suppliers.

• Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential. Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting managerial role or similar capacity

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is required

• Experience with BlackLine software is preferred

• Must have a strong understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Comprehensive knowledge of all Accounting Functions

• Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in Auditing is a significant advantage

• Must be able to handle all Billing Functions effectively
