Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Description

Looking for Heavy Equipment Operators to work for a quickly growing environmental company! You will need to have the ability to work aloft, climb ladders, staging/scaffolding, and other aerial equipment. The position involves long hours spent on your feet and working in various types of conditions, including snow, rain, cold, and heat. At times, you will be required to perform work above your head and in tight quarters.

Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment such as Excavator, Bulldozer, Loader, Skid-Steer, and Backhoe.

  • Perform general labor and environmental labor tasks.

  • Work on various projects including environmental remediation, demolition, excavation, dredging, utility work, and landfill cap and closures.

  • Read and interpret plans and construction drawings.

  • Utilize GPS machine control when necessary.

Essential Skills

  • 5-10 years of construction experience.

  • Ability to operate an Excavator, Bulldozer, Loader, Skid-Steer, and Backhoe.

  • Possession of a valid RI hoisting license for RI jobs.

  • Possession of a valid MA hoisting license with 1C/2A designation for MA jobs.

  • OSHA 10 Hour certification.

  • Ability to read and interpret plans and construction drawings.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience utilizing GPS machine control.

  • 40 Hour HAZWOPER training is preferred.

  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

  • Ability to travel within New England.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
