This role is part of Parametric's hybrid working model, which includes working in the office 2-3 days a week and choosing to work remotely or in the office the remaining days of the week.

About The Team

ARC (Automation, Reinvention & Collaboration) team is part of Parametric Operations. This team is core to success of Parametric Operations and is inclined with vision of Ops2.0. This team works on identifying opportunities, developing prototype, building custom solutions and its implementations. This team also works with core technology team as SME from Operation.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As part of the Global Operations Team, the Lead Data Engineer will contribute significantly to the Parametric Operations data eco system from the inception and build of the eco system to establishing appropriate pipelines and connection points.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop multi layered, secure, robust, and efficient datalake that is easy to access & maintain, and own the maintenance of the data repository

  • Connects the datalake across different data repositories and sources to enable efficiency in operations

  • Automate data pipelines and data refresh

  • Use both on-prem and cloud to push and pull data as per requirements

  • Develop data connectors to work as plug-and-play for most of the available query analyzer

  • Develop solution to connect operations data lake to cloud using cloud native development (AWS) vs what remains on-prem

  • Responsible for improving the quality, integrity, and reliability of the important & critical Operations data.

  • Partner with Operations & Technology to implement data availability and accessibility for users

  • Identify the need to integrate different data sources

  • Develop scripts to automate these data injection and data refresh

  • Report on latest data update and data availability

Job QUALIFICATIONS

SkILL SET

Required Experience: 10 years

Skill set: Data Engineering / Software Development / Cloud technologies / Data Lake / Big Data

Primary Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree (4 year degree) in Computer Science/Engineering, or similar required

  • 9 years of software development experience as an individual contributor

  • 8 years of experience as data engineer

  • Experience in building big data lake / repository using any big data technology such as Cloudera, MongoDB, Databricks

  • Worked on automated data pipeline development from different internal and external sources.

  • Integrating existing data lake with enterprise data warehouse

  • Cloud data integration (AWS preferred)

  • Implementation of data democratization

  • Data access control implementation

  • Methodology & Technology – Python, Cloudera, Spark, Alteryx, ETL, Kafka

Good to Have Skills

  • Financial industry experience specially in top tier financial GCC

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or similar

  • Should be able to challenge BAU

  • Mindset of logical traversal is needed

  • Excellent communication skill

  • Ability to understand business requirement and convert that into technological implementations

  • Quick learner , helpful, dependable & innovative
