Description
We are looking for GIS Specialist with 1-3 years of experience to support our Geographic Information Systems (GIS) operations. The ideal candidate should be familiar with ArcGIS software and have basic experience in GIS data management. This role is perfect for someone eager to grow their GIS skills and contribute to spatial data analysis, mapping, and database management.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in creating and maintaining GIS maps and spatial datasets using ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online.
Work with GIS databases (SDE in ArcGIS Software) to store and manage spatial data.
Perform basic spatial analysis and mapping to support projects.
Help manage GIS data in Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) (Bonus).
Learn and use GIS tools like FME Desktop/Server or other open-source GIS software (Bonus).
Support automation of GIS workflows using Python, JavaScript, SQL, or C sharp (Bonus).
Work with other teams to integrate GIS data into business processes.
Qualifications
Required: 1-3 years of experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
Master’s in Geoinformatics or Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or any relevant field.
Bonus: Experience using GIS in the utility sector.
Basic working knowledge of Esri software and GIS principles.
Some exposure to database management and spatial data processing.
Willingness to learn new GIS tools and automation techniques.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
