In response to our growing business needs, we are excited to announce the creation of a new position: Operations Analyst, Distribution Centers. In this position, you will leverage their technical and analytical skills to advance the data analytics and reporting initiatives for the Wilson Sporting Goods’ Distribution Centers in Tennessee. This hands-on role will work closely with the management team at our distribution centers to reduce bottlenecks and increase efficiencies.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop operational metrics in partnership with the Manager, DC Operations to and build solid data analysis methods using SAP and other business intelligence tools.

  • Analyze DC KPIs to assist in making decisions to increase productivity and efficiency of the Nashville DCs.

  • Monitor Space Capacity and warehouse configuration

  • Ensure Flow Racks, and pick mods are fully utilized

  • Make sure product is slotted properly at both DCs

  • Seek insights in the data to assist with optimization of storage, inventory, labor management, and quality.

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement through data collection and the identification of trends.

  • Additional duties as required.

This role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Analytics, or a related area. We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 3 years of experience in data analytics, preferability in warehousing/distribution. Equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree.

Other qualifications include:

+ + Solid knowledge/experience using SAP or other WM tools

  • Ability to interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques and presenting findings to business partners across the organization

  • Foundational understanding of statistical techniques such as correlation, regression, forecasting, time series analysis, etc.

  • Excellent technical skills and a strong passion for data analysis and investigation

  • Comfortable communicating with multiple stakeholders at all levels of the company

  • A self-starter mentality and ability to operate within a fast-paced and ambiguous environment

  • Strong technical aptitude and proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
