Position Title: MENU MANAGER

Salary: $55,000-$65,000/annually

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Menu Manager to oversee our on-campus menu management applications. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy of ingredient and allergen information, maintaining up-to-date displays, and aligning menu presentations with our marketing standards. The Menu Manager will collaborate closely with chefs to input menus into the system and assist in the development and creation of new menus and recipes.

Responsibilities:

  1. Menu Management:

    • Oversee the various menu management applications used across the campus.

    • Ensure all menus are accurate and updated regularly with current ingredient and allergen information.

    • Coordinate with IT to troubleshoot any technical issues with menu applications.

  2. Display and Presentation:

    • Ensure that all digital and printed menu displays are current and reflect the offerings accurately.

    • Align the layout and design of menus with marketing standards and brand guidelines.

    • Work with the marketing team to develop visually appealing menu presentations.

  3. Collaboration with Chefs:

    • Collaborate with chefs to input new and existing menus into the system.

    • Assist chefs in developing and creating new menus and recipes.

    • Ensure that all menu changes are communicated effectively to the relevant teams.

  4. Quality Control:

    • Regularly review and audit menus for consistency and accuracy.

    • Implement processes to track and manage ingredient and allergen information.

    • Ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory standards.

  5. Customer Interaction:

    • Address customer inquiries and concerns related to menu items and allergen information.

    • Gather feedback from customers and staff to continuously improve menu offerings.

  6. Training and Support:

    • Train staff on the use of menu management applications and procedures.

    • Provide ongoing support to chefs and other team members involved in menu management.

  7. Innovation and Improvement:

    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate innovative ideas into menu offerings.

    • Continuously seek ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of menu management processes.

Qualifications:

  • Nutrition, Hospitality Management, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in menu management or a similar role within the food and beverage industry.

  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and allergen management.

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.

  • Proficiency in using menu management software and other relevant applications.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Creative and detail-oriented mindset.
