Training Development and Implementation 90% B. Other Duties as Assigned 10% TOTAL 100% Reporting to the Technical Training Manager, the Technical Trainer is responsible for supporting the design and delivery of technical training content that supports manufacturing operations. The Technical Trainer may also support process improvement activities within manufacturing operations. They will work closely with the Training Department to ensure the maintenance of all training records, including the scheduling of employee training as required. The Technical Trainer must have strong organizational, people and communication skills. The Technical Trainer must work within a fast-paced, confidential setting that puts employees, health, safety, and competency development at the forefront of everything they do. Key Responsibilities: Working closely with the Technical Training Manager, to develop and implement technical training needs required for the organization. Technical training topics may include equipment operation, technical skills, and processes that support manufacturing operations. Working closely with applicable departments to evaluate the skill sets of individual employees and make recommendations for technical training opportunities. Train Train-the-Trainers on technical items where applicable. Works closely with the Training Department to ensure tracking and maintenance of all training logs and develop technical training matrix as required. Ensure the collection of training feedback to ensure ongoing training improvements. Minimum Qualifications: Technical degree, at least three (3) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required. o Previous Manufacturing experience required. o Previous hands-on experience in operations, maintenance, or manufacturing engineering preferred. o Solar experience is considered an asset. o Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. o Proven experience in facilitating/leading and/or creating training. o Experience in building and designing training programs, including understanding of instructional design theory would be considered an asset. o Effective administrative and people skills. o Ability to work well under pressure and with tight deadlines. o Strong organization and time management skills. o Strong understanding of Microsoft Suite products. o Must have a valid passport and ability to travel internationally.
