Material Handling Systems, Inc. seeks Controls Engineers II in Mt. Washington, KY. Duties: Write and implement PLC code, integrate subsystems, and assist in all on-site commissioning efforts. Utilize commercially available products such as Wonderware, RSView, Factory TalkView, and Ignition to create "Human Machine Interact" (HMI) applications. Implement PLC and HMI programs to satisfy current design and customer specifications under the supervision ofSr. Level Controls Engineers. Work with MHS employees, customer representatives and third-party vendors to ensure all aspects of a project are considered during both the design and commissioning phases. Review electrical designs and provide accurate as-builts drawings for approval. Commission complex automated systems, provide site engineering support and complete system acceptance testing. Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. Contribute to completion of milestones associated with specific projects. Domestic travel 40-80% of time to various client site locations in the U.S. Requires Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field and at least 6 months of experience in the following: PLC programming including Rslogix, RSLadder, or Studio 5000; HMI programming including Rsview or Factory Talk View; Input and output device design implementation; Industrial communication networks including EtherNet/IP, Devicenet, or Profinet; Low voltage electrical design and drawing creation; and CADsoftware to create electrical drawings and schematics (AutoCAD). Requires domestic travel 40-80% of time. Telecommuting permitted.
