PACCAR Inc. Project Manager Job in Mount Vernon, Washington

Program Manager will be responsible for leading the technical project management of powertrain projects to ensure compliance with all Division and Corporate standards and on-time implementation of each project. Job Functions / Responsibilities Lead Powertrain projects at the PACCAR Technical Center. Maintain open and clear communication among all stakeholders including PACCAR divisions, key suppliers, and development partners. Coordinate with other PMs, across the powertrain and vehicle programs, to achieve consistent execution of projects. Manage risk across the entire project life cycle. Proactively manage change in project scope, identify potential problems, and devise contingency plans. Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations for regular internal and external review meetings. Oversee the internal financial reporting process to ensure consistency of reporting across all assigned projects. Develop project plans and associated communications documents in accordance with the approved processes and compliant with PACCAR Policies. Responsible for resolving, communicating, and prioritizing program issues in a timely manner. Create, track, and communicate program schedules, deliverables, and budgets. Approves corrective actions for project non-performance or escalates through the Management chain when the non-performance is due to external factors. . Required Qualifications Eight years of experience in program management preferred. Five years of heavy duty diesel engine design or manufacturing experience preferred. Able to communicate effectively across functional boundaries, as well as up and down the leadership chain. Ability to perform in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities. Must be organized and self-motivated, identifying and proactively addressing opportunities for program improvement. Able to effectively evaluate proposals using sound judgment and present recommendations. Demonstrated ability to adapt to new environments and achieve objectives. Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must. Six Sigma experience a plus. Must be willing to travel. Company Information PACCAR is a Fortune 500 company established in 1905.
