Contract: 280 days

Salary: Range of $89,000 - $96,000 (Based on Education & Experience)

Qualifications:

  • Valid Michigan School Administrator Certificate or must be enrolled within 6 months in a certification program and complete the program within three years
  • Strong personal integrity and professional ethics
  • Demonstrated ability to develop/sustain positive working relationships
  • Experience in collaborative leadership, data-based decision-making and improvement processes, staff development, and community engagement

Leadership and Administration:

  • Manage overall personnel, fiscal, maintenance, and administrative functions in coordination with the district administrative team.
  • Supervise and conduct performance evaluations for all building staff.
  • Lead the implementation of multi-tiered systems of support, research-based instructional practices, classroom management strategies, and positive behavior interventions and supports.

  • Drive school improvement initiatives and apply data-driven strategies to effect instructional hange.

Curriculum and Student Supervision:

  • Provide leadership in the development, revision, and evaluation of the curriculum.
  • Oversee master scheduling and student supervision to create a conducive learning environment.
  • Implement and supervise student activities and athletics.

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all required records and reports.
  • Actively participate in school, community, and professional activities.
  • Adhere to and implement Board of Education policies/procedures and the District Crisis Plan in compliance with state and federal laws.

Assessment and Professional Development:

  • Lead staff in administering and interpreting assessments.
  • Evaluate and enhance the instructional program, encouraging a climate of continuous improvement and enrichment.
  • Coordinate and lead professional development initiatives for building staff.

Resource Management:

  • Prepare and manage the school budget using zero-based budgeting principles.
  • Follow standard operating procedures for procuring and allocating resources to meet student needs.

Guidance and Support:

  • Guide and advise students, teachers, and parents on areas of concern, utilizing available resources and data to plan effective solutions.
  • Stay current on mandated curriculum expectations and ensure their implementation in classrooms.
  • Determine teaching loads and assignments, and assist in staff recruitment, selection, and placement.

District Collaboration:

Participate actively as a member of the District Leadership Team.

Demonstrate the ability to positively influence school culture by creating an open, enthusiastic, and

organized teaching and learning environment.

Exhibit collaborative leadership skills and possess in-depth knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
