Catalent Pharma Solutions Scientist - Data Review in Morrisville, North Carolina
Position Summary:
Catalent Pharma Solutions in Morrisville, NC is hiring a Scientist – Data Review for the Analytical Research and Development group. The Analytical Research and Development departments at Catalent Morrisville located within the Analytical Sciences organization are responsible for the support of pharmaceutical product development in a range of dosage forms both directly with customers and in collaboration with other Catalent facilities. The Scientist – Data Review will work with limited supervision, conferring with superior on unusual matters. Assignments are broad in nature, requiring originality and ingenuity. Has appreciable latitude for un-reviewed action or decision. Comply with divisional and site Environmental Health and Safety requirements.
This is a full-time position: Monday – Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM.

The Research Triangle Park (RTP) facility is Catalent's Center of Excellence for Analytical Services and is also home to Catalent's Inhalation franchise including product development, clinical and commercial manufacturing for pMDI, DPI and Nasal Sprays.

The Role
Develop and execute laboratory work plans/schedules independently, using customer milestones and Division/site performance standards and metrics
Author technical documents, such as protocols, test methods, text reports, certificates of analysis, and operating procedures
Train, coach, or mentor others on technical and personal development
Perform real-time review of laboratory documentation and technical review of documents for accuracy, thoroughness, and regulatory compliance
May supervise technical staff, including work assignments and performance management
Responsible for project outcome and customer interaction
Participate in efficiency improvement project with guidance
All other duties as assigned;
The Candidate
Bachelors Degree is required, Masters Degree or PhD is strongly preferred
7 or more years of experience with a Bachelors degree, 3 or more years of relevant experience with a Masters; candidates with a PhD require no additional experience
Background in organic chemistry is required, either through experience or education
Must be highly organized
Experience in Data Review is strongly preferred
Working knowledge and experience with Mass Spectrometry is strongly preferred
GMP Background is strongly preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Able to write, read, understand, and interpret technical instructions
Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 0-15 pounds;
