Affordable Care Manager, Technical Accounting in Morrisville, North Carolina

ACI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Technical Accounting to join our team. This position will report to the Corporate Controller. As the Manager of Technical Accounting, you will be responsible for implementing Accounting Standards Updates (ASUs) and providing guidance on accounting for new and unusual transactions. You will also assist with developing and implementing accounting policies, preparing technical accounting memos, developing relevant accounting checklists to streamline accounting processes for revenue, leases, software development and helping identify other areas for process improvements. You will also be responsible for analysing complex accounting transactions related to revenue, deferred revenue and leases while also evaluating assets for impairment and accounting for debt and derivatives. Your expertise will play a critical role in the Company’s financial decision-making processes, contributing to the achievement of our long-term financial and operational objectives.

Responsibilities

Other key objectives include:

  • Provide ad hoc analysis of and guidance on accounting issues.

  • Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management.

  • Lead and mentor the technical accounting team while fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and continuous improvement.

  • Facilitate professional development opportunities of team members.

  • Support the Controller team with special projects and workflow process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration with an emphasis in accounting; Master’s degree is a plus

  • CPA preferred.

  • Proven leader with 10+ years of combined public/private accounting and reporting experience with hands-on approach and team player

  • Experience in a healthcare-focused retailor franchise model organization and private equity environment preferred

  • Experience working in a high-growth company, particularly one where new practices/sites are built and/or acquired.
