Job Title: 1st Shift Cleanroom Assembly Technician

Job Description

Responsible for building, cleaning, and packaging various Single-Use assemblies per Engineering Process Records (EPR) drawings and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Adhere to cleanroom protocols and cGMPs to maintain ISO Class 7 environment. Actively participate in continuous improvement processes and follow change control procedures. Report all near-miss and first-aid events while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

  • Build, clean, and package various Single-Use assemblies per EPR drawings and SOPs.

  • Wear appropriate PPE and report all near miss and first aid events.

  • Follow cleanroom protocols and cGMPs to maintain an ISO Class 7 environment.

  • Participate in continuous improvement processes and follow change control procedures.

  • Escalate potential process and/or product deviations to prevent scrap, rework, and customer returns.

  • Maintain daily organization (6S) and cleanliness of work and common areas.

  • Assist with inventory accuracy by properly returning unused parts and components to stock.

  • Work within ISO 9001:2015 quality standards in all manufacturing areas.

  • Meet internal manufacturing schedules to ensure on-time delivery.

  • Complete and sign-off EPRs for each operation completed during assembly.

  • Complete assemblies within the allotted time stated on the work order.

  • Instill a 'build it right the first time' mentality.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • High School completion or equivalent GED.

  • 0-2 years of equivalent experience in production in a cleanroom environment.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

  • Perform duties with the highest regard for safety and quality.

  • Ability to be trained on and adhere to all cleanroom protocols.

  • Ability to understand and follow site protocols, policies, and procedures.

  • Must be flexible, forward-thinking, motivated, and able to act independently.

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Problem-solving skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working in a cleanroom environment.

  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings.

  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing.

Work Environment

Typically works in a production/cleanroom environment with adequate lighting, ventilation, and a normal range of temperature and noise levels. The associate is required to stand and walk for the majority of the working day. Physical requirements include talking, hearing, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching above shoulder height, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and pushing/pulling. The job requires lifting/carrying/pushing or pulling up to 50 pounds with or without assistance. Associates use both hands for repetitive actions such as grasping and manipulating and both feet for repetitive movement operating foot controls. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
