Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Administrator in the Chemicals Manufacturing industry, based in Morris Plains, New Jersey. As a Payroll Administrator, your role will involve handling payroll for a large employee base, executing accounting and auditing tasks, and managing benefits functions.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the payroll process for over 500 employees to ensure accurate and timely payment.
• Utilize Ceridian Dayforce for payroll management.
• Handle multi-state payroll, understanding and applying the different state laws and regulations.
• Manage payroll garnishments, ensuring accurate deductions and compliance with legal requirements.
• Perform auditing tasks to identify and resolve discrepancies in payroll records.
• Carry out accounting functions related to payroll and employee benefits.
• Deal with union-related payroll matters, if applicable.
• Maintain comprehensive payroll records for auditing and reporting purposes.
• Address employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits.
• Use Excel for data management and reporting tasks. Requirements • Proficiency in Ceridian is required for the role of Payroll Administrator.
• Must have a solid understanding of general accounting functions.
• Prior experience in auditing is necessary.
• Familiarity with benefit functions is a key requirement.
• Should have experience handling payroll garnishments.
• Ability to manage payroll for over 500 employees is a must.
• Experience with multi-state payroll is necessary for the role.
