Amentum Systems Administrator in Morgantown, West Virginia

The system administrator will be hands-on in administering the tools and apps for the Cyber team, all with the aim of guaranteeing seamless IT operations for the LM project.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Managing and deploy the Trellix products, including the ePO server, DLP solutions, Endpoint Security, and Drive Encryption.

2.Lead the deployment of DLP solutions, implementing policies and controls to safeguard data on endpoints.

3.Commvault, WSUS, Dhcp, and DNS administration.

4.Manage Drive encryption solution to protect data stored on devices through encryption mechanisms.

5.Oversee and maintain Trellix Endpoint Security to safeguard endpoints.

6.Collaborate with IT teams to plan and execute system upgrades and migrations.

7.Data center monitoring and maintenance.

8.Quantum tape library and Nexsan maintenance.

9.Administer the new security product, CrowdStrike, including configuration, monitoring, install sensors, and ongoing management.

10.Configure and fine-tune CrowdStrike security settings to align with the organization’s security policies and specific needs.

12.Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.

13.Stay updated with emerging hardware, software and technologies.

14.Provide technical assistance and support end-users.

15.Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, LICENSE, CERTIFICATION, and EXPERIENCE

Education:

Bachelor’s degree

Experience:

12 years’ experience

No clearance requirement but the contract and/or the site requires US Citizenship to be approved for access.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

1.Proficient in managing and supporting McAfee products, including EPO server, DLP, Endpoint security, Drive Encryption, and more.

2.Familiarity with CrowdStrike solutions, including administration and implementation.

3.Proficient in server management, including the installation and updating of Windows OS while ensuring data integrity and security through patch management and troubleshooting expertise.

4.Utilizing monitoring tools to track system performance and troubleshoot hardware and software issues and optimize system resources.

5.Have a strong understanding of the operating systems, hardware, and software for effective management

6.Ability to implement backup and recovery solutions to ensure data integrity.

7.Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.

8.Ability to write scripts to automate repetitive tasks can enhance operation efficiency.

9.Ability to administer systems remotely, especially in the context of remote work.

10.Expertise in applying security patches and updates to keep servers secure and up-to-date.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $ 86,920.40 - $ 110,052.44 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
