DescriptionThe West Virginia University Research Corporation is seeking applications for (part-time) Patient Navigators with the Injury Control Research Center in the School of Public Health. These positions will administer surveys, answer questions and provide guidance to research participants.In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will:Obtains participant information by making telephone calls, sending text messages, sending emails; interviewing participants.Determines eligibility by comparing participant information to requirements.Informs participant by explaining procedures; answering questions; providing information.Follow communication "scripts".Maintains and improves quality results by adhering to standards and guidelines.Reports unusual event according to recorded procedures.Provides participants with requested information on local assistance offered.Updates job knowledge by participating in meetings and educational opportunities.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, Mental Health Counseling or related field.
