What You'll Do Prepare and finish various wood surfaces, such as doors and cabinets, utilizing proper materials and techniques. Prepare and paint equipment as assigned, ensuring equipment is locked and tagged out and following all safety instructions related to the equipment. Ensure safety barriers, procedures, equipment, etc. are properly utilized. Operate and maintain various equipment associated with the painting trade, such as mixers, tinting equipment, shakers, spray machines, etc. Fill in for the Manager and/or Lead or assist other crafts as needed. Pay Grade: 13 QUALIFICATIONS: Must have high school diploma or GED. Must have one of the following: Two (2) years of experience with all types of surface preparation and professional applications of oil and latex based paints. Completion of an associate degree in building maintenance or other craft trade. Completion of a 2-year accredited vocational craft trades program. Broad knowledge of various building trades is preferred. Knowledge of local, state and federal building codes. Ability to read blue prints and construction diagrams. |
