TEKsystems Loan Specialist- Customer Service Representative Closer in Moorpark, California

Description:

The Home Loan Specialist will be responsible for supporting the Closing department, Funding department, and Financial departments by answering phone calls from customers who have questions and assisting them with finding answers to their questions. The individual acts as a key contributor to facilitate efficient and effective processes that support business and customer service objectives. Responsibilities may be limited within a specific function/channel or across functions/channels.

  • On average it will be about 5 calls per day

  • Must familiars themselves with other internal departments and become familiar with their verbiage in order to fully assist customers with their questions

-Comfortable on the phone answering questions to support various departments internally

  • Taking calls and Troubleshooting third part orders (title, appraisal, hazard, flood cert, credit, etc.)

  • Handling more complex calls, emails or chat sessions

  • Completing appraisal eligibility tasks

  • Evaluating loan applications for compliance with product guidelines

  • Evaluating loan applications for regulatory compliance

  • Interacting with multiple departments to expedite processing and/or issue resolution

  • Performing other related duties as required and assigned

  • Demonstrating behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values

Job Summary: The Loan Closing Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient closing of loans. This position will act as a liaison between brokers and the closing team, facilitating communication, coordinating documentation, and ensuring all necessary steps are completed for a successful loan closing.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate Loan Closings: Work closely with brokers and the closing team to schedule and coordinate loan closings, ensuring all parties are informed and prepared.

Document Management: Collect, review, and organize all necessary documentation required for loan closings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.

Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between brokers and the closing team, facilitating clear and timely communication to resolve any issues or discrepancies.

Taking Calls: Handle incoming calls professionally, providing information and assistance to brokers, clients, and internal teams as needed.

Compliance: Ensure all loan closing activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

Problem-Solving: Identify and address any potential issues or delays in the loan closing process, working collaboratively with brokers and the closing team to find solutions.

Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to brokers, clients, and internal teams, maintaining a professional and positive attitude at all times.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all loan closing activities, ensuring all documentation is properly filed and accessible.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in finance, real estate, or a related field is a plus.

Experience: Previous experience in loan processing, real estate, or a related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently

• Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical skills and sound judgment

• Effective time management skills to deliver work on time

• Capable communicator, written and oral

• Demonstrated proficiency with computers and mainstream computer applications (Microsoft, Google, etc.)

• Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred

• General understanding of applicable Federal, State and Local regulations

  • Ideally would like a candidate with mortgage experience, but this is not required

  • They will consider candidates who have School Completed and little to no work experience. Great opportunity to get their career started with a reputable company

  • If no degree, candidates must possess at least 1 year of relevant work experience

  • Experience using Encompass Software is preferred but not required
