Summer Outdoor Pursuits Attendant
Cornerstone Club sits atop the Uncompahgre Plateau 18 miles southwest of Montrose, Colorado. As an award winning 4800-acre development, the development encompasses a private member’s only club which includes a restaurant, an equestrian center, a shooting club, a Greg Norman Designed Golf Course, and more. In addition, Cornerstone Club has an extensive nature preserve, and walking/hiking/biking trails all which pay homage to the region’s rich heritage.
SUMMARY
The Summer Outdoor Pursuits Attendant assists with the daily operations of the Outdoor Pursuits Department including but not limited to Outdoor Events, Club Activities, and Mountain Activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Facilitate activities and events for our Members
Complete opening and closing procedures for the Recreation Department
Guide summer activities that drive a lifelong passion for the mountain environment, including hiking, ATV rides, mountain biking, racquet sports, equestrian and much more
Greet guests and ensure that all information and release forms are accurately filled out
Relay accurate information to members and guests
Assist with special events, holiday activities, and year-round activities for Members and Guests
Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 1 year hospitality and recreation experience preferred.
Strong guest service background. Ability to provide a high level of service, programming, and instruction for our guests and members.
Valid Driver’s License.
Previous recreation or customer service experience.
Able to work a flexible schedule including weekend, evenings, and holidays.
Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications.
Capable of multi-tasking.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Knowledge of bicycles, ATVs, golf carts, and fitness equipment.
CPR, First Aid, AED certified.
Knowledge recreation programming and facility management.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of the job, the Outdoor Pursuits Attendant is required to be physically active for up to 6 hours a day. The associate must regularly lift and or move up to 30 pounds and sometimes lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. In addition, this individual will need to participate and supervise physical and active sports and games with children and adults. Most activities will require working outdoors, which may be in inclement weather. This is a highly active position.
