About the "Department"

The Emergency Department at Montrose Regional Health is a Level III Trauma Center staffed 24 hours per day by Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physicians and RNs who are certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and in Trauma Care.

About The Career:

  • The Clinical Supervisor provides first-line operational supervision of the delivery, implementation and evaluation/improvement of direct patient care emergency medicine and nursing services and personnel in assigned functional unit/area(s) within a 24/7 Emergency Services Department. The nursing supervisor is responsible for the supervision of all nursing and unit-based personnel and the provision of a safe, caring environment for patient/family and staff which fosters professional nursing practice, shared decision-making, interdisciplinary teamwork and collaboration resulting in positive patient and staff outcomes. S/he assists Department Director in planning, developing, implementing, evaluating and monitoring policies and procedures, budgets and the allocation of resources, continuous quality improvement initiatives, educational programs and shared governance/shared leadership councils to achieve departmental and organizational goals and objectives. Provides nursing care as needed for age-specific patient population. Oversees productivity and day to day operations.

    All About You :

  • BSN or BA/BS in healthcare or closely related field (preferred).

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

  • Current/valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado required

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, ACLS, TNCC, PALS and/or ENPC must be obtained within 6 months of hire

  • Minimum of 2 years of ED work experience required
