As a Consumer Insights Specialist, you will play a crucial role in advancing our marketing strategies by applying your expertise in research. Your role will be vital in identifying market trends and implementing detailed research methodologies to provide actionable insights that will keep us ahead in the competitive market.
A day in the life of a Consumer Insights Specialist
Management of quantitative and qualitative research projects:
Support the Consumer Insights Manager in setting up and monitoring quantitative and qualitative studies responding to the needs and issues of the various internal teams
Recommend the methodologies best suited to research needs
Oversee request for proposals and selection of external agencies
Manage the relationship with external agencies, negotiate budgets
Contribute to the design of questionnaires and interview guides
Testing online questionnaires
Programming and management of surveys using a survey software platform
Data analysis and formatting of study reports
Interpret results, write key conclusions, present strategic recommendations
Develop summary documents of research results from detailed reports
Set up specific data analyzes to explore certain issues
Follow market trends and best practices in the field of marketing research
Budget and invoicing management
Own the research budget, ensuring all invoicing and purchase orders are in line with company guidelines
Be responsible for all purchase orders and invoice processes
Track invoicing and budget regularly to ensure financial accuracy and accountability
Role Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Statistics, Management, or a related field (Master's degree or equivalent experience is an asset)
Minimum 2 years of experience in marketing research, preferably within an agency setting
Proficiency in English and French languages is needed as this role involves working closely with collaborators in the Canadian market and/or globally
Solid understanding of both quantitative and qualitative market research techniques
Experience with online survey tools (e.g., Qualtrics, Survey Monkey)
In-depth knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred Skills
Strong skills in analyzing and interpreting data
Ability to synthesize information and present it clearly and concisely
Good social skills and the ability to prioritize tasks optimally
Outstanding project and budget management skills
Strong attention to detail and rigor
