Advanced Systems Design Systems Administrator, Advanced - 2332 in Montgomery, Alabama

Advanced Systems Design is seeking a Systems Administrator, Advanced for our client located in Montgomery, AL.

This position is onsite in Montgomery, AL, and requires in-person availability starting day 1. 

Job Overview:

  • Seeking an experienced Micros on Azure doud engineer wtth expertise in the strategy, design, development, and implementation of large-scale projects in the cloud.

  • The ideal candidate is experienced in cloud-based tech, with a firm grasp of emerging technologies, platforms, and applications, and at)jlity to customiZe them lo help our busness become more secure and efficient.

  • The Systems Engineer position will work within the Infrastructure Services Section to provide configuration and support, technical expertise, and administration of Azure and On-Prem Active Directory services and servers knowledge of additional tools and services, such as IIS, SCOM, Powershell scripting, and ability to work in a collaborative environment is essential.

  • An extensive knowledge of cloud maintenance and Azure certification AZ103/104 is required.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of the following:

  • Entra ID and app management

  • Entra ID Connect and identify synchronization

  • PowerShell scripting or other automation scripting

  • SSO, SAML/OIDC and authentication protocols, NTLM, Kerberos, OAuth, etc.

  • Upgrading and configuring system software and hardware components

  • Administering, managing, and maintaining Group Policy in a Windows Server environment

  • Maintain Azure resources, user access, services

  • Active Directory administration

  • Windows Server Administration

  • Assist in formation and maintenance of system standards

  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes

  • Review system and application logs, verify completion of scheduled jobs such as backups

  • Repair and recover from system failures

  • Work closely with other departments to address system and infrastructure concerns

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Linux administration

  • Experience with Ubuntu or RedHat

Education Required:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent work experience

  • Microsoft AZ103/104 certification
