Intermountain Health Financial Strategy Analyst-Senior in Montgomery, Alabama
Job Description:
The Financial Strategy Analyst – Senior leads financial modeling and provides analytical support related to strategic growth initiatives, capital planning, construction projects, and ad-hoc analysis processes. Acting as a resource to the system and under limited supervision, this role provides decision support to management, performs comprehensive analysis on complex projects or programs, conducts internal valuations and conducts financial due diligence on potential strategic investments.
This is a 100% remote position however, currently we are unable to consider candidates for remote opportunities in the following states: California, Hawaii, Illinois, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, Connecticut and Washington.
Serves as a system expert and resource for others on complex financial modeling, processes, and systems. Provides project management and consultation for stakeholders across the organization.
Performs specifically defined projects or tasks related to several routine and non-routine / complex functions (e.g. financial due diligence, financial modeling, strategic planning, capital planning). Accountable for independent, timely, and accurate completion of responsibilities.
Prepares complex and in-depth analysis to identify financial feasibility, trends, and risks.Understands and incorporates external financial factors, economic considerations, industry trends, regulatory requirements, and other external implications into financial models.
Reviews and/or prepares complex analyses and valuations relating to strategic investments, potential acquisitions, affiliations, or other similar arrangements.
Presents and defends analysis and recommendations in both internal and external settings.
Assists in the preparation of professional and accurate presentations, reports, and other deliverables for external audiences, senior management, and the Board.
Provides expertise with financial systems and databases. May be assigned to design, develop, and test expert-level queries for collecting and reporting data using knowledge of spreadsheets and database software programs.

Qualifications Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or business related field. Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.
Experience in a role with financial modeling and analysis responsibilities.
Experience in analyzing, interpreting, and utilizing a variety of complex data sets
Experience in a role requiring effective project management skills, a high degree of accuracy, and sound decision making with limited supervision.
Experience in a role requiring effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Four years of professional experience conducting and evaluating routine financial analysis
Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or business related field with two years of experience conducting and evaluating routine financial analysis. Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.
Knowledge of Intermountain Healthcare finances and financial processes.
Experience in investment banking.
Physical Requirements:
Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.
Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.
For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
