The Tax Operations & Compliance (TO&C) operating within the LEGO Business Service Operations (BSO).

Within BSO, the TO&C team is responsible for meeting the global tax and statutory compliance requirements. The department balances a mix of internal resources and third parties to efficiently meet global compliance requirements.

The department focuses on transparent and accurate status reporting, maintaining a strong internal control framework, using technology and standard processes to meet its operational targets and satisfy partners.

Core Responsabilities

  • Support the preparation of tax compliance returns indirect taxes of Mexico.

  • Support in the Value Added Tax (IVA) recovery process of Mexican legal entities.

  • Support on tax audits or inquiries through data preparation and collaboration with BSO teams and other supporting departments.

  • Integration of VAT of sales and purchases from Foreign Trade activities, including temporary imports and exports.

  • Reconciliation of End-to-End Process of Accounts Payable for VAT inquiries, connecting Purchase order with Invoice and cash payment in bank statement.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Education: from 6th semester and above preferably CP, LA, IB or similar

  • Problem solving, passionate about data, interpretation, and innovation, proactive and self-driven.

  • Knowledge of Office tools specially Excel and a plus if any Microsoft Power Platform (like Power BI, Power app, Power automate, etc.)

  • SAP knowledge or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)

  • Able to work independently but also energized/thrives in a team environment.

  • Analytic, good at verbal and written communication both in Spanish and English
