JOB SUMMARY:

Lead and administer the inventory control staff, supports the development and implementation of inventory strategies and systems, and optimizes costs.

Develop and lead continuous improvement projects for materials processes, procedures, inventor management/control, etc. Work actively with plant materials personnel as well as other related groups to continually monitor progress and work to make corrections and improvements as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support Finance & Internal audit requirements using Inventory control standard process where possible and customized solutions where necessary.

  • Assure collaboration between planning, warehouse, and production teams to reach highest accuracy level.

  • Management and Development of Sr. Scheduler, Plant direct reports.

  • Ensure inventory control plans 100%.

  • Work in coordination with Manufacturing and Quality teams on changes or deviations required.

  • Assure maintaining inventory accuracy and Policy according to Internal Audit Requirements.

  • Develop strategies for new cycle count plans.

  • Analyze inventory forecast for inventory levels and inventory turns.

  • Trainer & Coach for Schedulers Sr. and Inventory control Team.

  • Follow up critical issues following consistently escalation path and avoiding omissions.

  • Organize verbal and written ideas clearly and use an appropriate business style to escalate critical issues and report results.

  • Ask questions; encourage input from team members and provide communication forum for the exchange of ideas and information with the department.

  • Interview and hire inventory personnel and communicate criteria to recruiters for inventory control position candidates.

  • Monitor team member turnover; identify key factors that can be improved; make improvements.

  • Adhere to all environmental, safety, and health rules and regulations associated with this position.

  • Comply to and follow all procedures within the Polaris Inventory and security policy.

  • Lead according to GPTW, PSP and PPS Standards.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATION:

  • Strong customer mindset

  • Key Performer as Scheduler Sr. at Polaris or 3 years of experience in production programming supervisor.

  • MRP knowledge

  • Advanced Excel

  • Forecast and release interpretation.

  • Teamwork

  • Analysis capacity

  • Communication Skills

  • In depth knowledge of Inventory control practices

  • Knowledge in AS400 and APICS preferred.
